With the hustle and bustle of school activities there's always a need for a few DIY's to make it a little more convenient and fun.
Plastic Pocket
Everyone can use an extra pocket. Stuck to the front of a book, these keep a class schedule in plain view. Look for self-adhesive plastic business-card holders or schedule holders in office-supply stores, and affix wherever you like on the cover.
Pocket Fold
Covering a book with two pieces of heavy construction paper gives you a pocket. The blue sheet should be as tall as the book plus 2 inches to fold down at the top of the book; the orange sheet should be half the book's height, plus 2 inches to fold up at the bottom.
I may use this idea for a traveling makeup brush roll.
This chalkboard lunchbox lid is such a cute DIY. Just think of all the sweet notes you could send, especially for those special events! Michaels crafts now sells a roll of...
Did you know any cake or brownie mix can be converted into a cookie mix just by adding 2 ingredients!? 2 (small or med eggs), or 1 (jumbo egg). Plus 1/2 cup of oil, that's it!
I made my* low carb mousse* with a sugar free brownie mix. You can tweak this recipe any which way you'd like with various flavored cake mixes. The Red Velvet Over The Moon Pies were amazing!! For that particuliar filling I prepared my cream cheese/Mascarpone recipe: 8oz. cream cheese and or Mascarpone (I use both together). 1/4 cup powder sugar. 1/2 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip.
Beat until smooth and fluffy.
Once your moon pie cookies are filled with the fluffy filling, you can also add any seasonal fresh fruit.
Whether it be after school or anytime of the day.... these are OVER THE MOON DELICIOUS!

Angel laid on my chest and filled my face with kitty kisses. Trying to give me enough of them to ease my pain and hopefully carry me through in her absence. Our time is fleeting. How I wished I could turn back the clock. When I look at her I can't convey to her the the love I have, or how great this loss is to me. Especially how I'll miss her everyday. Angel always loved blogging, more so putting in her opinion. She has been my constant companion through my darkest hours and has brought my greatest delights for 16 years. As my dear friend said to me..."they're the ones we whisper our greatest fears to." "We have a big favor to ask of you." My circle of family and friends is very tiny here, so finding solace can be distant. This is where I'm reaching out to you. I know you understand with all your heart what these furry companions mean to us. I would like to compile a scrapbook with all your comments. Whether your a pet owner or just a lover...
It's finally happened! My camera has closed it's shutter for the last time. No need for tears... CAUSE I'M JUMPIN' FOR JOY! "Get your boots on Virginia, were goin' camera shopin'." Although my camera isn't as old as the one pictured here...it certainly felt like it at times, especially without a macro option (that word has become music to my ears). It's quite possible I've paid the equivalent of two new cameras with all the batteries purchased over the course of time. For any of you that have stock in Duracell batteries..."you're welcome." If I were to leave the selection of my new camera up to my family... I've no doubt this is what they'd pick out. "Holy macro " just think what I could capture in a single shot... Wow, that would be one hard flash dot to shake from your retinas. I'd be the envy of every paparazzi in Hollywood. Due to the demise of my camera... I wasn't able to bring you all my ...
