The same (pronunciation) goes for an Italian food which consists of grilled bread with vegetables, herbs, cheese, meats,etc.
Bruschetta, (pronounced bɾu'sketta - In Italian, the letters "ch" represent the sound "k") Whichever you prefer Brushetta or Brusketta in the end it is a savory or sweet dish that has endless possibilities!

TODAY SAVORY




Traditional Brusketta




I spread a mayonnaise garlic, (eggless) Aioli on the Ciabatta bread. It's not necessary but adds a creamy flavored base.
Add the toppings: (fresh) tomatoes tossed in olive oil, basil, garlic, Italian cheese.
Broil until crispy.




Along with the traditional version, I made a Brusketta with caramelized (sweet) onions,
Boursin and smoked Gouda cheeses.
I generally add Prosciutto or Pancetta to the Brusketta, making it a heartier meal. Instead we had.....




Roasted Red Pepper & Tomatoe Soup with Italian cheese (stuffed) link sausage.
Each dish tasted as good as it sounds

All this bruschetta (and soup) looks fabulous. I have never tried a dessert type, or most of the savory kind shown. But, I sure do enjoy the traditional recipe; makes me want to run outside and plant some basil and tomatoes.

Thanks for the new recipe ideas and the great photos.
We are having a dreary rainy day in Chicago, those dishes would be perfect!

Everything looks so good however you pronounce it! I had to giggle while I was reading the pronunciations. When I was in Birmingham, AL, last week, I was looking for a place called Iverness. I asked the lady, "Do you know where Iverness is (I pronounced it Iver--as in ivy and ness as in the Loch Ness). Well she had never heard of such a place. UNTIL I showed it to her in writing and she said "OH" in her cute little southern drawl, "Iverness" (as in "if-er-niss"). OMG!!! Don't make me come over that counter and smack your little southern behind! Geesh. There isn't THAT much difference to not be able to understand!!! I'm not from, say, France! Geeeeee. lol. Anyway, sorry for the tangent. I'll have to post about that! tehe.

So nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by.To answer your question... the sprinkles and colored sugar just melt in the bath water. I got the essential oils at Michael's but I've seen them at health food stores. Please try this. They turned out so cute and they really are a fun gift!

Angel laid on my chest and filled my face with kitty kisses. Trying to give me enough of them to ease my pain and hopefully carry me through in her absence. Our time is fleeting. Yes Virginia, Christmas has come early!

It's finally happened! My camera has closed it's shutter for the last time. No need for tears... CAUSE I'M JUMPIN' FOR JOY! "Get your boots on Virginia, were goin' camera shopin'." Although my camera isn't as old as the one pictured here...it certainly felt like it at times, especially without a macro option (that word has become music to my ears).
