Bun Fun!


Spring is in the air and Easter is right around the corner.



 This gave me the perfect opportunity to shop at one of my favorite stores. Come along for the "tour de World Market!


I always make a beeline to the chocolate bunnies.



Catching my attention right off was the collection of foiled bunnies.
Each cello bag was filled with a variety of eggs and bunnies.




Look at all those cubbies filled with Easter surprises!


Who could resist these little lambs?
Not me.


Duckies too!



Sunny Seeds are chocolate covered sunflower seeds. 
The carrott containers are refillable.
 They'd be ideal to refill for a future tablescape.



I have to mention how much I loved the retro themed carried throughout the entire Easter collection.





I've always been tempted to make these. Until I consider the labor it would take to create them.
Fortunately they were available in several beautiful ready-made  options.



These solid chocolate bunnies are perfect for embellishing!



Adorable Chicks...peeping in to say
HELLO!





Pastel eggs are so versatile.
They can be added to baked goods, decor, or packages for gifting.


How cute would these pasta bunnies be hopping around in my soup.





If you look closer...inside the bowl  there are 2 small bunny taper candle holders.
In place of tapers the holes could be filled with salt and pepper.  They can be sit at each guests place setting with a demitasse spoon.




Using those solid chocolate bunnies. Embellished with candied flowers and sprinkles.
Along with those cute pastel almond chocolate eggs.

The Easter basket was easily constructed with burlap, twigs, vines, from my yard and a few silk flowers and leaves.



A cellophane bag and a fluffy Easter bow will make this chocolate bunny basket a perfect Easter gift.

SARA!!!!!

OH we used to have a World Market in our neighborhood and when we discovered it, we STRUCK GOLD! But then they had to close down due to the economy....I LOVE, I mean, I absolutely LOVE those bunny candle holders, especially the turquoise one!

Thank you sweet Sara, for coming to visit me! You also visit Koralee too! She is a great friend. Oh, so many wonderful people out here, and you are one of them. ENJOY YOUR EASTER HOLIDAY and I think I am going out today to make a small basket for my husband!!!

Sara your story is so funny about the Easter package! You could have called it a Bomb from Mom! Oh I also remember dressing to the nines for Easter with my Easter hat and little white gloves and white dress shoes. What memories with my Grandma Meme in church always teaching me how to follow the songs in the hymnal. There were two spots in our liv rm ceiling that were nail pops. But my darling Daddy told me that the Easter bunny that stopped by was extremely tall and when he hopped up he poked his ears in the ceiling. I believed that for many years! Ha Ha

We have a world Market about a half hour away, I have to make an effort to get there, I forget all of the neat stuff they have. I love that they have a retro vibe and so many different things!! Have fun redoing your curio cabinet, I am quite sure mine will fetch $50-60. Happy Easter to you and your family...Hoping you don't have any stink bombs!! Sara, I love you but I am now going to try for the third time to get the right spelling for word verification, Blogger does a wonderful job of sorting spam if you turn it off. I love your Easter story, Sara. We once had neighbors who were known to imbibe. One Easter they hid eggs for their children and all but one was retrieved. Several weeks later the unmistakable smell of rotten eggs filled their house. They knew what it was, but couldn't remember where the bad egg had been hidden. A neighbor's dog came to their rescue. The egg was hidden behind a radiator. So, this is a warning to all. Don't drink and hide :-). I hope you have a wonderful Easter. Blessings...MAry Blessings...Mary

She knows we have to say goodbye....

Angel laid on my chest and filled my face with kitty kisses. Trying to give me enough of them to ease my pain and hopefully carry me through in her absence. Our time is fleeting. How I wished I could turn back the clock. When I look at her I can't convey to her the the love I have, or how great this loss is to me. Especially how I'll miss her everyday. Yes Virginia, Christmas has come early!

It's finally happened! My camera has closed it's shutter for the last time. No need for tears... CAUSE I'M JUMPIN' FOR JOY! "Get your boots on Virginia, were goin' camera shopin'." Although my camera isn't as old as the one pictured here...it certainly felt like it at times, especially without a macro option (that word has become music to my ears). It's quite possible I've paid the equivalent of two new cameras with all the batteries purchased over the course of time. For any of you that have stock in Duracell batteries..."you're welcome."
