Falling into Fall........



October has brought a definite chill to the air, putting me in a decorating mood. As you've come to know from visiting my blog, I love exploring new ideas for taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. Which I accomplish through the inspiration provided by visiting your lovely blogs.

    The floral pumpkin toppers are perfect! I love pumpkins and the season is so long (from early September through October) that I end up buying way more pumpkins than I need.

    Your fall decor is such an inspiration. I love pumpkin toppers and made one for my family room fireplace a few years ago. I love the possiblities with them. I really love the pumpkin on the plantar pedestal. Fall also brings me to the decorating mood and redoing everything in site. LOL!!

    I adore those pumpkin toppers. I've been thinking I might make a couple for my Thanksgiving table. You really should try to make it to Swiss Days just once. It's kind of unbelievable. Although people say it used to be even bigger and better. Do you have family up here? If you do it would be great to be able to stay with them. It's always on Labor Day weekend. Mimi

    Love the pumpkins. That one that is a little "worst for the wear" well, that's our concern this year. "Honey" bought a 160 pound pumpkin. He got it in the van & on the drive home he says"I wonder how I'm going to get it out of the van without the two little guys that loaded it?" My thought... that's no problem call your son. The problem... what about when that sucker has seen it's better days! YUCK! Not my problem. Hee Hee. I will post about your give away. I would love to win.

    Hi Sara, Thanks so much for coming by to read my blog! I always like meeting new friends. Yes, those ugly roosters are a hoot! I am going to be doing a "Sisterhood of the Traveling Ugly Roosters," where they get shipped around for a month's visit. People can chronicle their adventures... LOL Wanna play?

    I hope your leaf balls turn out okay. You could probably use the preserved waxed leaves. They won't deteriorate like real leaves will. So, keep me apprised of what you do.

    I really don't know if anyone eats the buckeye nuts. I've never seen recipes using them, and no one has ever said they are even edible! I'll have to check it out. I just like to display them. There are several varieties out there- but I really don't know much about them except that I like their looks! *grin*

    What I miss about the house (cabin) I live in now is there is little room for decorating. So sad.
